Presentation of the first VNS analysis of a COLLL program at the ISLA Congress June 9 - 10 /2017

COLLL's new frequency programs were presented at the ISLA Congress. A first observational study (VNS analysis) by Dr. Volkmar Kreisel with 9 healthy volunteers was presented. The ALPHA-SWEEP was examined for the first time. Result: Significant attenuation of the sympathetic nervous system, small stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system and promotion of regulation (since no regulation problems in the subjects, here little statement). VNS analysis in laser field therapy
Brain Wave Alpha Sweep (8 - 13 Hz)

  • Deep relaxation

Application Monitoring Alpha Sweep

  • 9 test persons
    • no pre-existing conditions known
    • no regular medication intake
    • Age average 47 yrs.
  • Laser: MKW PowerTwin 21+
    • Capacity: 2100 mW (21 x 100 mW)
    • Duration of treatment: 10 min
    • Total energy dose per treatment with Alpha Sweep: 630J
  • laser field application over the solar plexus

Measured parameters
Measurement of 520 R-R intervals in sitting position before, during and after laser field therapy

  • Measurement parameters
    • HF, SI, RMSSD, Alpha 1, SDNN
  • -Measurements
    1. output measurement after 10 min rest phase
    2. measurement during cw laser field therapy
    3. measurement after cw laser field therapy
    4. measurement during Alpha Sweep Laser Field Therapy
    5. measurement after alpha sweep laser field therapy
  • Calculation of the mean values for all measurement parameters

Evaluation

  • heart rate about the same
  • Parasympathetic tonus slightly increased
  • sympathetic tonus significantly reduced (approx. 50%)
  • regulation slightly increased

Interpretation

  • Laser field therapy influences the VNS
  • Reduction of the sympathetic tonus through Laser field therapy with cw and Alpha Sweep respectively
  • Laser Field Therapy with Alpha Sweep seems to dampen the sympathetic nervous system stronger than the cw mode
  • Laser field therapy with Alpha Sweep seems to additionally stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system.
  • Further examinations are necessary
    • larger case numbers
    • Possibly defined load before measurements
    • Investigation of further sweeps and FI bands
